Compression guide
What is compression therapy?
How graduated compression works and why it helps tired, aching and swollen legs.
The basics
Compression socks apply gentle, graduated pressure to your legs — firmest at the ankle and easing as they move up. This helps your veins and leg muscles move blood more efficiently back toward the heart.
Who benefits?
- People who stand or sit for long periods at work
- Anyone with tired, achy or swollen legs
- Those with varicose veins or a history of venous disease
- Frequent travellers
Compression levels
| Level | Pressure | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Mild | 15–20 mmHg | Everyday support, travel |
| Medium | 20–30 mmHg | Swelling, varicose veins |
| Firm | 30–40 mmHg | Advanced venous conditions |
Always get assessed so you receive the right level for your needs.
